Walking down the foggy, dark street,
Concrete wet and car lights blurry,
Where the night rain drops and floor meet,
And I think, I honour all and answer the call for duty.
The mind is free as are the empty streets,
The way is long - for you it's still far,
The sounds of nonspeaking people are hurting me,
People remain silent and I just say love is the key.
Walking down the foggy, dark street,
Concrete wet and the car lights blurry,
Where the night rain drops and the floor meet,
I love you, I feel you and - I'm sorry.
Red houses and black taxis are what I see here,
Are these raindrops or more so, my tears?
Cars driving on the left side, I'm not home,
Looking and Seeking for affection - I might find some.
Walking down the road,
Silence and a few lights in the houses,
Standing in front of her house, I make a note.
Standing in front of her door, I haven't come up with roses.
I have come with my heart, open in my hands,
Concrete wet and the car lights blurry,
You look at me and take my hand,
I ask you "are we-", you interrupt and kiss me.
You say "No, we are in bliss!"
